Position Description
Alaska Native Heritage Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our finance team. This internship provides hands-on experience with financial reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and administrative accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and is eager to learn in a professional environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Entry into the various systems, including Bill.com, Certify.com, Planning Pod, and QuickBooks accounting system of Vendor Bills, Customer Invoices and Facility Reservation Orders. Daily Sales data entry for Admissions, Gift Shop, Café, Facility Rentals, and other revenue streams. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Prepare and maintain financial records and spreadsheets
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Prior internship or office experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
