Position Description
Family Programs Service Specialist JOB TITLE: Family Programs Service Specialist SALARY: $28.41 – $32.93 per hour DOE WORK HOURS: 37.5 Hours Per Week JOB DESCRIPTION: The individual will work closely with the Family Programs Administrator to provide direct services to children, families, and communities. General duties include: working closely and maintaining regular contact with stakeholders; maintaining accurate records and case notes; participating in meetings as scheduled; conducting home visits when necessary; collaborating closely with Tribal Councils about tribal children; identifying families/children who are at risk for child abuse/neglect and advocating for family or tribal placements; traveling for a work-related meeting when requested by supervisor; other duties as assigned. PREFERRED: Associate of Arts degree in Social Science or a closely related field with two years of case management experience in a Social/Human Services agency and/or Tribal organization.
