Position Description
Arctic Slope Regional Corporation The Heavy-Duty Mechanic is responsible for service, repair, and maintenance of heavy construction vehicles and equipment within a shop and field environment. The position is a year-round position based out of Anchorage shop facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect, diagnose, order parts and complete repairs to construction vehicles and equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, end dumps, front-end loaders, motor graders, tractor-trailers, water trucks, and miscellaneous non-mobile and light duty equipment. Conduct diagnostic scan and reporting using automotive software in completion of repairs and maintenance. Adjust, repair, and replace engines, fuel systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, steering, and transmissions.

- Support HSE processes and Haz-Req programs. Assume personal accountability and responsibility to ensure all tasks are performed safely.

- Ability and wiliness to abide by the company’s code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
