Position Description
Village Resource Representative -Atqasuk Arctic Slope Regional Corporation This position will be under the direct supervision of the VP of Shareholder & Community Engagement. The village resource representative will provide support and assistance in the implementation of ASRC programs at the village and local levels. The village resource representative will serve as a liaison between ASRC shareholders in each of the North Slope villages in regards to community and economic development, ASNA and projects of interest to ASRC and residents in the Arctic Region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned) Must be willing to travel to other villages or outside the North Slope for mandatory training. Rigorous tracking and follow-through on shareholder concerns.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- LEADERSHIP COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR LEVEL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to community effectively to management and community groups in a positive manner. Must have ability to effectively present information to the public.
- Associates degree; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations with diverse groups and maintain cooperative working relationships with community groups and organizations.
