As the Laborer, you will work onsite on Prince of Wales Island, AK and perform a variety of general construction and manual labor tasks to support the successful completion of construction projects throughout Alaska. You will work alongside skilled trades personnel and assist with site preparation, material handling, equipment support, grounding, weatherproofing, and other construction activities while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You are expected to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions, follow all safety policies and procedures, and contribute as a reliable member of the construction crew to help meet project schedules and operational goals. Please note that this position is reserved exclusively for local hires in Prince of Wales, AK, and housing accommodations will not be provided in this area.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Work closely and support a variety of skilled trades and construction activities.
- Responsibility to report any incident, situation or activity that may affect the Company’s ability to operate safely, ethically and profitably to supervisor and the Company Safety Manager.
- Act as a team member and mentor less experienced laborers.
- Maintain any required certifications mandatory by law or company policy.
- This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance and on-the-job support to less experienced crew members as assigned.
