As the Project Estimator, will work onsite in Anchorage, AK and will be responsible for identifying bidding opportunities, preparing detailed cost estimates, and managing all preconstruction estimating activities for potential design/build and construction projects throughout Alaska. This role leads quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, subcontractor quote evaluation, and development of complete project estimates. You will work closely with Project Managers to align cost models with project requirements, budget constraints, and logistical considerations, and provides estimating support during both preconstruction and the construction phase when needed. Identify, evaluate, and track potential bidding opportunities in collaboration with Business Development and Project Management.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Participate in client discussions to clarify scope and project requirements.
- Analyze labor and material requirements to determine cost-efficiency of producing vs. purchasing components.
- Develop and submit prequalification packages and scope letters.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Advanced ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and laptop-based applications; ability to maintain and utilize estimating software.
