Position Description

Job Title: Educational Assistant Reports To: Parent Resource Supervisor Must be the parent of an Alaska Native/American Indian K-3 child attending one of the following ASD schools: Alaska Native Cultural Charter School or Susitna Elementary School. The Educational Assistant collaborates with classroom teachers and families to strengthen the home-school connection and increase parent engagement in students' academic success. This position provides culturally responsive support to Alaska Native and American Indian students through in-class instruction, small-group learning, project-based activities, and family engagement events that promote academic excellence and cultural connection. Working in partnership with our people, the Educational Assistant helps develop opportunities that fulfill our endless potential by fostering resiliency, effort, and effective learning strategies while building meaningful partnerships between families, schools, and community.
