Activities Assistant *Free Health Insurance* Title: Activities Assistant                                                                                                        Pay Grade: 26 Program: Long Term Care                                                                                                      Status: Non-Exempt Housing Priority: None                                                                                                           BCP: Yes This position is responsible for assisting Social Worker/Activities Director in developing the Long Term Care activity program planning and executing activities for the elderly, including outings in the community, art and music programs in the facility, and for any special events. Duties can include purchasing the items needed for activities, setting up rooms for activities and events, overseeing the residents to ensure the residents are safe and following the rules and instructions, training other activities works and promoting the center’s offerings. Tends to the residents needs as allowed and follows the residents care plan in implementing activities suitable for each resident. Assists the Social Worker/Activities Director as directed. Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, resident’s families, visitors and staff.   Reports to Social Worker/Activities Director or designee. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
