Position Description
Security Officer: Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Denali Universal Services (DUS) Under limited supervision, the Security Officer provides protection of work site, personnel, and assets from events such as assault, theft, vandalism, harassment, and other disruptive incidents, to include responsibility for highly regulated access control at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Enforces safety and security measures, performs regular patrols of assigned premises, and responds to incidents based on established operational procedures. This position is located in Anchorage, AK and works a rotational schedule of 1 week on / 1 week off, working 12 hours a day. A base pay period (2-weeks) earns 40 regular hours, combined with 44 hours of additional overtime pay. Housing in Anchorage is not provided. Officers go to their own place of residence at the end of the shift. High school diploma or GED certificate
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- One (1) year of work experience with a municipal, state, or federal law enforcement agency, military police unit, corrections activity, or private security company within the past five years
- State of Alaska Unarmed Security Guard License or able to obtain
- Must have reliable transportation to/from the work site. Driver’s license strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service/public relations skills
- Ability to present a professional image with a strong commitment to honesty, integrity and ethics.
