Position Description

Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska Pay Grade(s): 12-14 ($78,000+ DOE) Purpose: Responsible for the daily management of the Tribal Assistance services (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance) under the Tlingit & Haida (T&H) PL 102-477 (477) plan, including, but not limited to hiring and supervision of all Tribal assistance personnel, grant writing, budget development/monitoring, preparation and submittal of all required data, financial and narrative reports, development/maintenance of program level policies and procedures, and monitoring of Caseworker use of the client services database. Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation: • Responsible for the daily operation of the Tribal assistance services under 477 and the State of Alaska Native Family Assistance Program (NFAP). • Develop program projects, and set short and long term strategic goals.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • • Ongoing monitoring of caseload assignments to ensure equitability amongst caseworkers.
  • • Monitor program budget and ensure financial reporting requirements are met.
  • • Work with the TribeVue Steering Committee and TribeVue Coordinator to identify and resolve data entry and technical application issues in client management system to comply with funding requirements and internal controls.
