Position Description
Camp Manager & Operations Administrator Title: Camp Manager & Operations Administrator Reports to: Trailside Director Status: Full-time, exempt Location: Anchorage, AK. This is an in-person position. Work is primarily based in our Anchorage office, with potential travel to outreach events throughout the year and Trailside Discovery Camp locations during the summer season. Occasional remote work might be approved. Compensation: $69,000-71,000/annually Application Review: First review of applications will begin July 29, 2026. The position will remain open until filled. Position Overview: The Camp Manager & Operations Administrator is a year-round leadership position that reports directly to the Camp Director and supports the administrative, operational, staffing, and communication systems of Trailside Discovery Camp. This position is a key professional liaison for families, seasonal staff, and internal program leadership. The role requires strong organization, follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to manage many moving pieces at once. The Camp Manager & Operations Administrator supports the full camp cycle, including seasonal staff recruitment and onboarding, camper registration, family account management, parent communication, training logistics, compliance documentation, and day-to-day operational systems. During the summer season, this position serves as a member of the summer leadership team, with a primary focus on family communication, staff coordination support, administrative systems, camper information, and camp-wide logistics. When the Camp Director is unavailable, this position may serve as the point person for operational questions and immediate administrative needs. Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Support evaluation processes for programming, camp staff, site directors, and family experience.
- Help ensure seasonal staff complete required paperwork, background checks, onboarding steps, and training requirements before their start date.
- Track staffing needs based on camper enrollment, program requirements, and site needs.
- Assist with documentation and systems related to licensing requirements, American Camp Association standards, internal policies, staff training, incident reporting, and camper needs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines, records, communications, and seasonal priorities.
