Position Description
The Security Guard performs protective services to safeguard personnel, property, and assets at local facilities. Conduct scheduled foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity or safety hazards. Monitor entrances, exits, and parking areas to enforce access control and visitor procedures. Observe and report suspicious activity, safety issues, or violations of facility policy to supervisors or law enforcement as appropriate. Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, providing assistance and coordination with first responders. Prepare clear, detailed written reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Follow established protocols, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
- Minimum of one (1) year of security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification within three (3) months of hire.
- Ability to interact courteously and professionally with the public, convey information, and assist visitors to the facility.
