Position Description
Adjunct Faculty - CTC Department of Writing The Department of Writing at the University of Alaska, Anchorage offers courses leading to and including Tier 1 Writing Literacy General Education Requirements. This includes all 0- , 100- level, and 200-level Writing courses. Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of an appointment. This is an adjunct labor pool and applicants are hired based on departmental need. ✍️Knowledge of accepted instruction methods. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Public speaking skills. Student support skills. 2 Years relevant experience, preferably in adult education settings, with graduate level coursework in the teaching of writing. 🎓Master's degree in English, Composition and Rhetoric, Creative Writing, or TESOL.
