Adjunct Faculty (for Credit) 2026-2027 UAF College of Liberal Arts Would you like to teach courses within the College of Liberal Arts? The University of Alaska Fairbanks, College of Liberal Arts is accepting applications for adjunct faculty members for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027. You could teach a course in the arts, humanities, social sciences, or languages. Apply here! This is a temporary faculty adjunct position which enables departments to offer more course sections and or more courses for students at UAF. Candidates will teach undergraduate lower division courses and, if needed and with the proper qualifications, perhaps upper division courses. To thrive in this role, candidates must be able to teach and, at times, be flexible and meet their students where they are. Adjunct instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester appointment. Qualified applicants for this position will be placed into a hiring pool from which instructors will be hired as needed. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of an appointment, nor does having worked one semester guarantee that a position will be available the following semester; hiring decisions are made on a semester-by-semester basis according to the needs of that semester's schedule. Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.
