Position Description

The Office of Admissions is hiring an Admissions Counselor! This position is the primary point of contact for students, the public, and internal stakeholders to establish positive college relationships. The Office of Admissions is a fast-paced office that welcomes a wide variety of students, staff, faculty, and their families to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Our office is dynamic, fun, and collaborative. The Admissions Counselor is a core part of our team and and counsels prospective and recently admitted students on the transfer process and opportunities at the University The responsibilities of this position include customer service, administrative support, and application processing. Are you an organized and creative individual with a passion for connecting with people and helping them succeed? Join our team and play a key role in representing UAF (University of Alaska Fairbanks) to prospective students and their families! We're looking for someone with strong organizational skills and a knack for public speaking who can confidently talk about all that UAF has to offer-whether it's academic programs, financial aid, residence life, student services, or advising. If you have leadership experience, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to coordinate events both big and small, we'd love to hear from you! This role is perfect for a team player who can also work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and bring creative ideas to the table.
