Position Description

The Signers' Business Office (SBO) is looking for a full-time Budget and Accounting Manager to join our team! In this role, you'll manage operating budgets and Foundation funding for assigned units while partnering with leadership to make informed financial decisions. You'll work with everything from expense planning and payroll to revenue forecasting and financial strategy, turning numbers into information that helps our units succeed. Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets, relational databases, and query development necessary for financial, budget and statistical analysis. Ability to analyze and implement process improvements. Knowledge of rules and regulations associated with operating budgets. The typical experience of the ideal candidate would have a minimum of three years of experience as a fiscal officer within a university setting. The preferred candidate would be willing to continue their education for the betterment of the department. Ideally, the candidate would have impeccable customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics or related field and 3 years progressively responsible professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional licensure preferred (e.g. CPA, CFM).
