Campus Security Officer I

Position Description

The University Police Department at the University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking applicants for its Campus Security Team. We are looking for individuals who will be dedicated to increasing the overall safety environment of campus. Team members will be non-sworn and unarmed and will help to identify and locate potential risks and hazards and increase the university community sense of security and safety. Level 1 Recruit (Grade 77, Non-Exempt) Work is performed under direct supervision. Participate in training programs. Apply basic security officer practices and procedures under the guidance of Team Lead / Trainer. The UAA community has identified four core competencies at the heart of quality at UAA.
