COH Director of Student Success Are you passionate about student success and helping students get into health professions? We invite you to apply for a full-time administrative position on the College of Health executive team to serve as the Director of Student Success. You would be responsible for overseeing selective admission processes and expanding recruitment pipelines, managing student retention and graduation initiatives, fostering interprofessional education, and supervising recruitment and career navigation staff to align with university priorities. The College of Health at the University of Alaska Anchorage invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Director of Student Success position. This administrative position will be a central member of the college leadership team and is expected to coordinate and synchronize College of Health programs, resources, faculty, staff, and partnerships toward a singular goal ensuring the long-term success of our students. This position addresses the critical need to support and sustain selective admission processes and to promote student success during those processes. Essential tasks include coordinating efforts to improve recruitment and grow the pipeline of students into health programs; increasing persistence, retention, graduation rates, and post-graduation outcomes; promoting and supporting interprofessional education as a high-impact teaching practice; cultivating strong partnerships with students and industry partners; and supervising the College's recruitment specialist and career navigator positions in alignment with college and university goals and priorities. The College of Health is the primary hub for health-related education and workforce development in Alaska, offering a broad spectrum of programs from certificates to graduate degrees, with continuing education and pathways that prepare students for critical roles in nursing, allied health, behavioral health, social work, justice, and public health. The college emphasizes community-centered education and service, with curricula that combine classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience. To thrive in this role, the applicant must be enthusiastic about undergraduate and graduate students and dedicated to their success in the classroom and beyond. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping students succeed. Successful candidates will also have a keen interest in reviewing curriculum and program actions to anticipate how these might impact student success. Candidates must have a Master's Degree; must hold or be eligible to hold academic rank of assistant professor or higher; a demonstrated commitment to student success; three (3) years higher education experience including experience working with diverse student populations; experience working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students; experience managing, leading and supervising collaborative teams; and experience analyzing and reporting organizational/institutional data to improve outcomes. This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, term-funded, academic leadership position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php.
