Position Description

Dean's Office Executive Assistant The University of Alaska Southeast School of Education is seeking a Dean's Office Executive Assistant to join our team on the Juneau campus. This position serves as a key member of the School of Education administrative team, providing executive-level support to the Dean while also supporting the Administrative Manager and the broader School of Education with a wide range of administrative and operational responsibilities. No two days are exactly the same. From coordinating meetings and communications to supporting course scheduling, procurement, events, and travel, you'll help keep the School of Education running smoothly while providing exceptional service to faculty, staff, students, and community partners. You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who enjoys staying organized, building relationships, and keeping things running behind the scenes. You communicate professionally, provide exceptional customer service, and can comfortably shift between competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and enjoys learning new technology and university systems. You'll be successful if you can work independently, exercise sound judgement, and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to support the day-to-day operations of the School of Education. Associate's degree and two years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. BA or BS degree preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree. This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php.
