Fiscal Technician - Signers' Business Office The Signers' Business Office (SBO) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is seeking a full-time Fiscal Technician. The SBO provides financial and human resource services and support to our Faculty, Staff, and Students. Our staff assists with these stakeholders in complying with complex federal, state, and university policies and procedures. Staff work in partnership with the university community to support the broader mission of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. We are currently recruiting for a Fiscal Technician III to assist with processing purchase requests, reconciling, and to assist Fiscal Officers with fund management for units using the SBO (Approximately 40 units). Candidates should have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented and deadline driven environment. The Signers' Business Office (SBO) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is an ever-growing business office that serves a variety of units on the UAF campus and across the State of Alaska. We serve 40+ units that provide student services, public service, research and instruction to the UAF campus. We strive to provide the best service to our "customers" in areas such as human resources, procurement, and budget and grant management. We have a dynamic and expert team and provide opportunities for growth and development within our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in finance and purchasing. They should be driven to perform at their peak on a regular basis and provide the best service. They will be a team player and have a desire to constantly grow and learn during their career. The typical experience of the ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years experience in a finance related role. Ideally, the candidate would have impeccable customer service and interpersonal communication skills. One year of college coursework in Accounting or related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience in accounting, statistics or related field and 6 months professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations.
