Position Description

Mechanic/Maintenance Technician Reports to: Hotel Manager Location: Adak, Alaska Schedule: Rotational Status: Non-Exempt/hourly Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems on Adak Island.  The position is also responsible for the ongoing maintenance on the island for various locations, such as the Adak Inn Hotel. Must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. This is a rotational two (2) weeks on / two (2) weeks off position with the flexibility to work longer shifts if necessary. Provide continued maintenance support to the Adak Inn Hotel to ensure housing units are functional and safe for hotel guests and workers. Perform general plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility’s equipment and systems.
