The Employee Experience department is seeking a Media and Events Coordinator to support programs and initiatives that foster engagement, connection, and growth throughout the employee journey-from onboarding and orientation to networking opportunities and professional development. The Employee Engagement Department is a team that loves to work hard and play hard. We collaborate on ways to ensure new employees feel welcome joining the UAA campus while also creating ways to show value and appreciate the employees we currently have. This role is ideal for someone with an outgoing and upbeat personality who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail. To thrive in this role you will need to be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. You possess strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, enabling you to produce clear, polished, and professional communications. You are comfortable learning new technologies and software and can quickly adapt to changing tools and processes. Additionally, you work effectively both independently and collaboratively, contributing positively to team goals while taking initiative on individual assignments. The ideal candidate brings at least one year of relevant experience in administrative support, project management, event planning, and/or media and communications, demonstrating the ability to coordinate projects, manage logistics, and support organizational objectives in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Graphic Arts or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience. This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus.
