Pub Manager

Position Description

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is seeking a Pub Manager to oversee operations at The Pub, a long-standing campus venue that hosts live events, music, and social gatherings for the UAF community. Located in the center of campus, The Pub serves students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a welcoming and community-focused environment. The Pub Manager is responsible for daily operations, customer service, staff supervision, and maintaining responsible food and alcohol service standards. The role includes supervising student employees, coordinating with campus partners, supporting events and programming, and helping create a positive experience for guests. This position is ideal for someone with hospitality or venue management experience who works well in a fast-paced environment and values community engagement. Manage day-to-day pub operations, including scheduling, staffing, and vendor relations Supervise, mentor, and build a team of student employees to assist with the coordination of live music events, trivia nights, and other social programming Ensure compliance with state alcohol laws and university policy
