Seismo-Acoustic Engineer - Wilson Alaska Technical Center (WATC) The Wilson Alaska Technical Center (WATC) is searching for a Seismo-Acoustic Engineer to join our engineering team in maintaining and improving seismic and infrasound stations around the globe - from Antarctica to the remote Pacific Islands. This position will help maintain stations through fieldwork and remote monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure high data availability and quality. WATC operates and maintains more than twenty infrasound and seismic arrays worldwide, providing real-time data that are used for monitoring nuclear proliferation, volcanic eruptions, and earthquake activity. Our ideal candidate will have experience in operating, maintaining, and calibrating broadband seismometers. This position will help design, operate, monitor and maintain power and communication systems supporting global seismo-acoustic stations.
