Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students. Candidates should have experience creating curriculum in their area of educational expertise. The College of Indigenous Studies is looking for adjunct faculty/part-time instructors. Duties to include developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and tests as needed. Subject areas include but are not limited to: - Accounting - Alaska Native Languages - Alaska Native Studies - Anthropology - Applied Art - Applied Business - Art - Automotive - Biology - Business Administration - Chemistry - Communication - Computer Information and Office Systems - Culinary Arts - Developmental Education - Early Childhood Education - Education - Emergency Medical Services - English - Fire Science - Health - History - Human Services - Journalism - Justice - Library Science - Linguistics - Mathematics - Natural Resources Management - Philosophy - Political Science - Psychology - Recreation - Rural Development - Rural Human Services - Social Work - Tribal Management - Welding and Material Technology Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. Masters in subject area preferred, but at a minimum, demonstrated experience and expertise in the subjects required.
