Term Assistant Professor of Psychology, UAF CLA Founded in 1917, the University of Alaska Fairbanks is the flagship campus of the University of Alaska System with a diverse student body and desirable faculty-student ratios, and is a Land Grant, Sea Grant, and Space Grant institution. UAF is situated in a beautiful rural northern setting and is accredited by the Northwest Commission of Colleges and Universities. The College of Liberal Arts includes the following departments and programs: Anthropology, Arctic and Northern Studies, Art, Communication, English, Foreign Languages and Literature, History, Justice, Linguistics, Music, Philosophy and Humanities, Political Science, Psychology, Science and Environmental Journalism, Social Work, Theatre and Film, and Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applicants for a bipartite (teaching/service) non-tenure-track position at the Term Assistant Professor rank with an anticipated start date of August 2026. We have a particular need for candidates with experience in teaching both in-class and online courses with multicultural proficiency and an ability to teach across multiple areas of psychology. Area of specialization is open, with preference given to those with expertise in statistics and research design. The UAF Psychology Department is a dynamic group of faculty with a commitment to multicultural perspectives and places a high priority on creating an environment supportive of the promotion of ethnic minorities, women, and persons with disabilities. Successful applicants will have a strong interest in teaching and mentoring students in both face-to-face and online modalities, and an interest in being in Alaska.
