Position Description
Term Clinical Instructor of Nursing Join our team and help shape the next generation of nursing professionals through innovative, student-centered education. We are seeking five (5) dynamic educator(s) with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to teach effectively while building meaningful partnerships across university and community settings. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in nursing education, including modern teaching methods, and understands the unique challenges of delivering high-quality nursing instruction across Alaska's diverse urban and rural communities. Experience integrating technology to enhance learning is highly valued. Qualified candidates must have at least one year of experience as a registered nurse, along with clinical experience in medical-surgical or other nursing specialties. The role also requires experience working with both public and private external partners. A Master's degree in Nursing Education is preferred. Must hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Will be required to obtain and maintain an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. One year experience as a Registered Nurse. Preference may be given to applicants: Experienced with curriculum development, particularly given the opportunity for ongoing and progressive distance education course development. Experienced in additional specialty area. Demonstrating the ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively.
