Position Description

Heavy Crane Mechanic (Rotational Schedule - Base Shop) - PRU015V This is a remote/ rotational position, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Responsible for all aspects of maintenance and the repairing of hydraulic/lattice boom cranes and heavy and light equipment. The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay. Analyze, diagnose; repair, rebuild and provide maintenance of hydraulic and lattice boom truck and crawler cranes and heavy and light duty equipment such as loader, tractors, manlifts, scissor lifts and various other lifting equipment. Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles equipment using hoists, hand tools and pneumatic and electric tools.

  • Knowledge of and experience in lubrication procedures for all types of cranes and heavy equipment common to heavy construction and oilfield service industries.
  • Knowledge or previous experience w/Linkbelt 278H, National Boom trucks 900, 1300, 1400 series, Grove RT models 60-130 ton, Manitowoc 2250 and 16000.
  • Ability to maintain equipment maintenance records.
  • Ability to maintain equipment to manufactures specifications.
