Position Description
Pipe Welder (Rotational Schedule - Worley Base) - PRU0167 This is a remote/rotational position, working in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Performs welding of pipe, flanges and various fittings for fabrication or repair of machine parts, equipment, plant equipment, tanks, pressure vessels and structures according to layout, blueprints or work orders using various welding processes. Constructs, maintains, and modifies piping systems and process equipment related to petrochemical or other industry by welding of pipe, flanges and various fittings using applicable welding techniques and processes required to produces welds that meet applicable codes and client requirements. Measures pipe routing and draft pipe configuration.

- Ability to properly use and care for the tools and equipment and welding electrodes commonly used on an industrial project.
- Ability to read and understand engineering prints.
- Advanced ability to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated piping components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels according to blueprints, specifications, and knowledge of welding.
- Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
